How to Setup A Forwarding Web Address For Your Avon eStore
Hey Online Beauty Bosses,
Today we’re going to talk about how to use a forwarding address, also known as a domain name, for your Avon eStore. This will help your online or offline customers make the jump to your eStore as easy as possible
But before we get into this, I think it’s important to cover the basics first, so everyone will be on the same page.
So let’s talk about our Avon eStore address and some issues & errors I’ve noticed that come up often.
You might consider this How-To as an intervention of sorts, but I hope the other tips shared here will be helpful to everyone, new and seasoned Avon Reps alike.
Ok, so here’s what’s been happening. As our Online Beauty Bosses group continues to grow and new members are added daily, to keep our group a safe place and to weed out Spammers & Lookey Loo’s from other Direct Selling companies, I ask reps to provide me with their Avon eStore address. Simple enough, right?
Well apparently it’s not so easy! I can’t tell you how often the address provided is INCORRECT or I hear, “I don’t know it” or worse, the link goes to someone else’s eStore! Gah!!
I say this not to make fun but out of concern, and because it brings up a very valid question . . .
Are You Giving Your Customers the CORRECT Link To Your Avon eStore?
If you’re a New Rep trying to find your way through everything, or even a seasoned rep who’s let your eStore collect dust and it’s been ages since you’ve visited it, I understand. That’s why in a minute I’ll show you how to find your Avon eStore address and also where to set up your eStore if you haven’t done so already.
And for the rest of us, the tips following, can help you avoid typos and typing in the wrong address, and better yet help make it easier for your customers to remember your Avon eStore link as well. So let’s cover the basics!
Confirming Your eStore Address
This is super easy! All you have to do is:
1) Log into YourAvon.com
2) Click on the Web Office Link at the top of the page
3) On the right side of the page you should see your eStore url.
If you don’t see your eStore url (web address) then your eStore may not be set up yet.

1) On the same page, just click on the “Online Quick Setup” link under Resources and follow the prompts.
Important Tip On Choosing Your eStore Address!
When selecting your eStore url try to make it as easy and short as possible so it will be easy for your customers to remember and to spell.
If you have a unique name that’s hard to spell or to remember, consider using a nickname or other name.
I wish someone would have shared that with me when I first started out, because I spell my name with two “nn’s “ and the likelihood of customers remembering that is low.
Chances are in the early days, potential customers found their way to someone else’s eStore because they spelled my name wrong! When I finally realized this, after a year of sharing my eStore link, changing the url would have caused more problems than what it was worth. Moving forward I had to figure out way to make it easier for my customers to find me.
Do you have an eStore address that’s not so easy for customers to remember? If you have a crazy eStore address like YourAvon. com/Hermoine-Schwarzenegger_90210 , (LOL) no need to fret! There’s a solution! You can use a Forwarding Web Address to send customers to your eStore.
A forwarding address is basically an alternative web address used to redirect visitors to another web address, in this case to your Avon eStore.
You can use a forwarding address for just about any page to your Avon eStore, in fact I have several addresses that link to different pages of my eStore.
For my Avon eBrochure, I use GoHereToShop.com it’s a lot easier for my customers to remember than https ://www.avon. com/brochure?rep=diannehernandez and a lot easier for me to type eliminating any chances of typos.
During Bug Guard Season I send my customers to my eStore Bug Guard page with KeepTheBugsOff.com it’s easy for my customers to remember and again a lot easier for me to type when needed.
To direct customer to my Sales & Special offers eStore page I use GoHereToSave.com
These are all examples of forwarding urls.
A forwarding URL is also referred to as a Domain Name but instead of using it for a website you can use it to redirect to another site. Domain names are relatively inexpensive and can be purchased through any web hosting company like GoDaddy, HostGator or BlueHost.
In the following video I’ll walk you through the purchase process and how to set up a forwarding web address for your Avon eStore.
