How to Setup A Forwarding Web Address For Your Avon eStore

Today we’re going to talk about how to use a forwarding address, also known as a domain name, for your Avon eStore. This will help your online or offline customers make the jump to your eStore as easy as possible

But before we get into this, I think it’s important to cover the basics first, so everyone will be on the same page.

So let’s talk about our Avon eStore address and some issues & errors I’ve noticed that come up often.

As our Online Beauty Bosses group continues to grow and new members are added daily, to keep our group a safe place and to weed out Spammers & Lookey Loo’s from other Direct Selling companies, I ask reps to provide me with their Avon eStore address. Simple enough, right?

Well apparently it’s not so easy! I can’t tell you how often the address provided is INCORRECT or I hear, “I don’t know it” or worse, the link goes to someone else’s eStore! Gah!!

I say this not to make fun but out of concern, and because it brings up a very valid question . . .

Are You Giving Your Customers the CORRECT Link To Your Avon Online Store?

If you’re a New Rep trying to find your way through everything, or even a seasoned rep who’s let your online store (eStore) collect dust and it’s been ages since you’ve visited it, I understand. This is super easy! All you have to do is:

1) Log into your Avon.com dashboard

2) Click on name the top of the page then click “My Profile”

3) Scroll down your profile page to where you see "ONLINE STORE ADDRESS"

If you don’t see your url (web address) then your Online Store may not be set up yet.

How To Set Up Your Avon eStore 

1) Click the MY OFFICE link at the top of your AvonNow Dashboard

2) Click ONLINE STORE LINK

3) Under EDIT follow the prompts
From there Avon will walk you through in a few easy steps

Important Tip On Choosing Your eStore Address!

When selecting your eStore url try to make it as easy and short as possible so it will be easy for your customers to remember and to spell.

If you have a unique name that’s hard to spell or to remember, consider using a nickname or other name.

I wish someone would have shared that with me when I first started out, because I spell my name with two “nn’s “ and the likelihood of customers remembering that is low.

Chances are in the early days, potential customers found their way to someone else’s eStore because they spelled my name wrong!  When I finally realized this, after a year of sharing my eStore link, changing the url would have caused more problems than what it was worth so moving forward I had to figure out a way to make it easier for my customers to find me.

You can use a Forwarding Web Address to send customers to your Avon Online Store.

A forwarding address is basically an alternative web address used to redirect visitors to another web address, in this case to your Avon eStore.

You can use a forwarding address for just about any page to your Avon eStore, in fact I have several addresses that link to different pages of my eStore.

To direct customers to my Sales & Special Offers store page I use GoHereToSave.com

These are all examples of forwarding URLS. 

A forwarding URL is also referred to as a Domain Name but instead of using it for a website you can use it to redirect to another site.

Domain names are relatively inexpensive and can be purchased through any web hosting company like GoDaddy, HostGator or BlueHost.
